A Brule River Valley family artists collective
We are a three generations of artists. Children and grand children of Anton and Susan Vojacek of Oulu Glass. We work in a range of mediums from painting, sculpture, functional and wearables. Tonja offers workshops and classes in the Oulu, WI studio and across the country. Stop by and stay a while. Enjoy the art and visit the gardens. We look forward to meeting you!

Our Story

Anton (Jim) & Susan Vojacek : Oulu Glass Gallery
Together they began building a family and a dream in the late 1960's. Anton (Jim) began constructing their home and studio in 1972 while Sue taught public school, stained glass and art classes. They started Oulu Glass in 1984 while raising two creative children.

Tonja (Vojacek-Sell) & Matt (Sell): Fiddleheads Gallery
Tonja (daughter) and her husband Matt, who both attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, returned to Oulu from Arizona in 1994 to continue the tradition. Matt, having a degree in Industrial Design, began building the couples home and studio on land adjoining Tonja's parents. Tonja, an illustrator and multi-media artist and has shown and taught internationally. She offers mixed media workshops and ceramics in the Oulu, WI studio and together she and Matt have hosted international art tours. They have raised and home educated four creative children while building a life they love!

30 + years later they have added a public gallery space called "FIDDLEHEADS"The gallery features the work of Tonja and Matt and their children. Oulu Glass is just across the compound! Come explore, relax and enjoy! You are welcome here.
